phineasjones: (reach for me)
again, yesterday's wanktext challenge is extended. same details as yesterday and they can be found here. thankyouverymuch.

(i did eventually get the 2 messages that were sent - one at 11 pm and one at 3 am. thanks, lj.)

why do i automatically want to use a dom icon when the subject is wanking?
phineasjones: (dreaming is free)
::world-weary sigh:: not even, though. just work-weary. i really, really want to not have to go there any more. really soon. wah. i hope today is slower, at least. so i can write some and job search some and all that. though i did some job searching yesterday and as usual came up with crap. this job is good for reminding me how bad it can be, though. just about anything would be better. though the pay doesn't suck as bad as it could. i shouldn't have looked at the temp agency bill though. because i saw that, after my taxes are taken out, they're taking in twice as much as i'm making. wah.

i'm going to do my best to have a very positive attitude about singing this evening. i really adore these pieces - settings of katha pollitt poetry. i just don't want those bizarre attack-nerves to come out of wherever it is they hide and get me again. what's that anti-nervous drug opera singers take? i should look in to that.

it's august. dude. and my 3 point plan is for shit. i need to get a move on.

i've been thinking... about lj and time and... well, i would love some advice )

so. we sang for the composer. and. i am in tears but for good reasons this time.

some things he said (paraphrased because i am bad with remembering exact words):
-that's the best i've ever heard that place.
-if you wanted to record this, i'd pay for it.
-the women who recorded it originally were good musicians but your voices are much more beautiful.
-it's hard for a composer to know what he has to write to express his intentions but you two just picked up on everything so intuitively.
-hearing people who can do difficult things like this inspires a composer, frees him up to write music for that level of difficulty.

and he encouraged us repeatedly to perform and/or record these. i said we were thinking of singing them at my church and he said we should tell him if we did because he would try to come and try to bring katha. as in, yes, katha pollitt.

he said everything my battered musical ego needed to hear. everything.

and then outside we ran into a random woman who was at our workshop and back for this one and she chatted with us (much more than we had chatted during the last session, ironically). she was sweet. and anney asked if she was having fun this session and she said yes then, 'but you know, you decide, really, how much fun it is.' and um. yeah. i felt like she had just peeked into my soul or something equally disturbing. thanks, random lady, for the roadside life lesson.

oh, and I WASN'T NERVOUS!!! alxamdulilaah. i just sang and enjoyed it.

god, i needed that so badly.
phineasjones: (uh oh)
so, this is the last textslash challenge for a while. because i am going to take my break from lj... starting tomorrow. well, after i post the textslash results in the morning. more on all that later. but there will be more challenges someday, have no fear. just likely not as regularly.

but everyone should always, always feel free to send me text of any sort - slashy or not. ok? please. i love it. and it's going to be one of the worst parts about being away from lj - not getting texts at work. wah.

so. these two days saw entries from [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle, [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl, and [livejournal.com profile] fuschia. and they are...

1. "I promise. You'll love it. Think of it as masturbation" said Hermione (from half an hour into the future) to Hermione (from now.) "Well, okay." by [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl

2. "Merry and Pippin?" "Too easy." "Sam and Frodo?" "Way too easy." "Me and Theoden?" asked Aragorn. "Ahh... thanks. That did it" replied Gandalf. by [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl

3. For Dom the hardest part about wanking is choosing whom to wank about. In New Zealand, the selection overwhelms him and orgy becomes his default. by [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle

4. Hermione had gotten a spell wrong and, well, her clothes disappeared. There was a lot of rustling underneath the sheets in the dorms that night. by [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl

5. Eowyn was lonely at Meduseld; Miranda can commiserate. The men of the cast have each other, and they take full advantage. She only has...herself. by [livejournal.com profile] starbcukle

6. Wrestling with the twins had caused Ron's Christmas jumper to ride up, and Harry, staring, could see a gingering of hair trailing in a line down his best friend's stomach. "What??" Ron asked, and Harry quickly closed his mouth. "Um... nothing. I'll be in the dorm." by [livejournal.com profile] fuschia

#6 is longer because it was sent from a phone... so it didn't get cut off like it would have on lj. which is maybe not entirely fair. but. whatever. :)

voting is closed.

thank you for playing. no, really, from the bottom of my heart. i love everyone of you who wrote or read or voted on text slash. love you.

and to those of you who weren't reading: sorry about the long posts!

this is totally random, crossovery and for [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl:

two of a kind. 100 words. )
phineasjones: (love)
[livejournal.com profile] annecatherine asked for something fluffy. no angst, she said. and then she said make it sirius/remus.

... no angst.

while most humans have bodies composed of 70% water, sirius and remus are composed of at least 98% angst.

still, she won a prize, she gets a request. that's how the game goes. and this is what i wrote:

apology. sirius/remus. mwpp. 291 words. )
phineasjones: (body (madmadharri))
two recs. a good night to go out on, fic-wise.

-something simple. harry/ron by [livejournal.com profile] kaalee. an achingly sweet and lovely story told in six drabbles.

-meanwhile, at malfoy manner... aunt bella. draco/bellatrix, (draco/snape) by [livejournal.com profile] jjtaylor. only jj can get me to read a pairing like this. but holy... dude. i just don't know what to say. this fic blew my mind. kablooey. and holy frickin moly is it hot.
