(no subject)

so... what's new?

-job stuff: i didn't exactly tell my boss i wanted to leave. but we had a discussion about what i had left to do there and it was good. i still have some things i can work on but they don't require me going in regularly and mostly i can do them from home. which is fine with her and actually good for me bc if i'm temping or some such, i can always put in some hours to make up for down time. this is good.

-workshop stuff: i got e-mail from the guy at the workshop annelarissa and i are going to this summer that said, sorry, all the work-study's taken up already. :( but then! he said they'll give me a scholarship for almost half the amount of the workshop! :) so things are good. yay! oh yes, and this was on bob's recommendation. ♥ bob.

-fannish stuff: my 'to read' list and my 'to beta' list are exactly the same as they were when last i checked. oh wait, no, there's a spike/andrew added to the 'to beta' list. the point being that i've made no progress.

the only way i'll make any progress today is by printing things out and taking them outside. it is so fucking beautiful today. after this week of grey humidity, this cool, sunny, windy day feels like autumn. i am deliriously happy about it. rach and i couldn't get out of bed this morning since it was the perfect situation of cool air outside, warm and snuggly inside. why would we move?*

and eeee!!! lunch with madmadharri! i love today.

and, jjtaylor wrote this incredibly hot trinity/persephone short, the second kiss. omg, hot. in my world, jj's trinity voice is... trinity's voice. intense and powerful. the story is short but rich. and did i mention hot?

just back from seeing mean girls with rach and her friend. entertaining movie but... yeah. that's about it. today was generally lovely. lunch with madmadharri, camillafarfalla and mmm_cake at nick's. and then camilla and i played 'kickball' for a while. this meant i would roll the ball at her, she would kick it, i would run after it and then do it again. and then we'd switch. and switch again. etc. and then we got bored with that and lay in the grass and i read girlslash aloud to her. more like it. and then there was yummy sushi dinner with rach and harri and rach's friend. which brings us back to the movie. yes. and supposedly claire will be showing up at our house sometime tonight. hmm. look at all these people in my day. it's like i have a social life or something.
