May. 17th, 2004 02:44 pmthis is the funniest thing i've encountered in quite a while:
fearlessdiva: My favorite part of Troy was when the Greeks start climbing out of the horse and the woman sitting next to me lets out a huge gasp of surprise.
so, we have moved from the lovely bed and breakfast in the country to the slick hotel room in this city. the two greatest attractions of the hotel are its location - mere blocks from the theater where the opera is - and the free wireless internet in the rooms. you can see which i'm taking advantage of at this moment.
the bed and breakfast was lovely though, and i'll miss it. the area was beautiful - all gently rolling hills and mountains in the distance and green, green, green and the smell of honeysuckle everywhere. and the outdoor hot tub. mmm.
and, yes, the first performance of the turn of the screw was last night. i am pleased with how it all went... and a finding it a little hard to process that it actually happened. the first act went very, very well. the second act had a bunch of glitches that i doubt the audience would have noticed but which certainly had me on the edge of my stool.
maybe i'll have more insightful things to say about this after i have more time to process. or after we do it again tomorrow night. maybe not, who knows? but right now, my lady needs me to proofread her paper. duty calls and i answer.
