happy birthday j.s. bach!

so, this is 29? feels a lot like early sunday morning.

there's a little camillafarfalla snoozing away behind me. she looks very cute and cuddly. also warm and sleepy and perhaps i shouldn't look any more as it makes me want to snuggle right back in to bed. not for me, the flannel and the primaloft. i am to work.

but first i'll just say that last night was loads of fun. i love my friends. ::happy sigh:: dinner was tasty and made me a little dizzy (in a good way) as i sat near the middle of the table for 12 and tuned in and out of conversations. and then we came here and had the delicious cake rach made - carrot cake with fluffy blue cream cheese frosting. mmm. and we had lotr plates and napkins. hee! which induced much silliness. and there were presents! i'm still blown away by the presents. they were all things i actively wanted... that never happens. ok, well i hadn't given any thought to a japanese maple bonsai tree kit, but i'm excited about it. everything else, i coveted. is it weird to list them here? i'm going to anyway. holdenrevisited and wildgreentide gave me an orchestre baobab cd. ::bounces:: i so wanted that. especially since finding out that my old wolof teacher is in the band. eee! annelarissa and scottxwl gave me the firefly dvds!!! more eee!!! i don't think i have to explain that eee here. starbuckle gave me a sweet picture of us at lincoln center and a vegan cookbook that i had seen and drooled over at her section at b&n. it's beeeyoootiful. and camillafarfalla, wonder that she is, found for me the one lotr poster i really wanted. the one that's frodo looking down at the ring in his hand. i don't even have words for how thrilled i am to have this. and i know how hard she looked for it. sweet camilla.

omg, love! i mean, there was love anyway, before the presents, but these were some amazing presents.

also, rach gave me many presents earlier in the day. if i list them all here, i will appear to be the spoiled thing that i am. but many of them tended well to my girly side. which is feeling very happy and nurtured. i love girly things. also, i can now mix drinks in style... not in tupperware like before. my sweeties takes care of me.

i have to run to work but can i just register my amazement and delight that i've been 29 for 3 and a half hours and already there is birthday fic out there? dude. i am a happy woman today. and i'm going to be late. ::runs::
