i'm home now. about to go out on a bookstore run for my paper-writing girlfriend.

yesterday was incredible. in every way. seeing the extended editions on the big screen, back to back, in a room full of true fans, with my best fannish friends, a visit from elijah, dom, andy and sean...

and then of course, return of the king. which i can't even begin to write about. i am emotionally overwhelmed. but, my god, i have never loved anything so much.

i have to get out of that head space for a while and help my lady with her work, then go to work myself tomorrow. but as soon as i can get back in a theater i will. all these little fragmented images and scenes are living and mixing in my head and i want to put them back together. my god, i loved it. frodo. sam. pippin. sam. sam.

eta: i had locked this to just people i thought might actually be giving me presents... but i'm unlocking it bc it seems to have amused/struck a cord with camillafarfalla. and whatever, i have no shame.


this is just a wee note to people who might possibly be inclined to give me a christmas present and are at a loss for ideas...

nothing lord of the rings related could possibly be a bad idea. nothing at all. nothing is too cheezy or corny or even too commercial for me. oh no. whatever it is, i want it. rest assured. right now, i am in particular need of the soundtrack to rotk. desperate need. it's hard not to be buying it, but i am mindful of the approaching holiday. so. you know. action figures, posters, silly games, paper weights... all good.
