Nov. 17th, 2003 02:25 pmhm. returning to this post-in-progress which i abandoned in favor of lunch with
starbuckle and her mom. which was lovely. and now i'm back and will finish up while my tea water boils...
i want to rec this story by
kay_taylor but it's a locked post. so. read it if you can - though it is disturbing.
which reminds me that i've recced some of kay's stuff before and it's now on her site to be read by all. so, here are my most recent favorite short fics of hers:
patterns. sirius/remus, harry/draco.
the house of my fathers. fred/george but really about grimmauld place in general - and sort of s/r and just, well, go read it.
when i swept my porch this morning, it was the first time in weeks that there were hardly any leaves on it. fall is ending. ::sigh::
in happier news, the goldfish plant i've had for months is finally blooming. three little buds! eee!
it's grey and wet out. i have some awful cold-ish thing that makes me head and shoulders ache and my throat is dry and scratchy. and still, emotionally, i feel pretty good. things are far from perfect. i have far from enough money/work. but i love my friends - who are mostly nearby. i love my girlfriend. i love flylady (
semielliptical, that's all your fault), i love my apartment, i love my family, i love the valley, i love my church job and the people there, i love fandom and all of you guys. i haven't been this happy in so long, sometimes i don't even recognize it.
