ahahahaha. ahaha. ehaheh. ::sigh::

this reminds me, the radio woke us up this morning with the ballad of bilbo baggins. how's that for surreal? it was the npr weird music segment. love that.

i bought some clothes this evening. no, i can't exactly afford them, per se. but having them is making me feel 40,000 times better about myself, so i consider it worth the expense. i used to buy clothes a heck of a lot more frequently than i do now. sometimes i forget how great it can feel.

monkey is visiting noho and she came by tonight with her new bf, J. J is a huge geek! whee!!! so that was fun. i showed him the rotk trailer. and we all talked harry potter for a while - much discussion of ootp. and also, of course, it was just generally great to see monkey again finally. she seems to be doing really well. yay.

ahaha. just got my second text message of the evening from [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla who snuck in to see the RotK trailer before seeing under the tuscan sun. my guess would be that she's on the subway going home now - her favorite time to text me.

oh, and... hm, i hope this doesn't get lost down here. but there's another [livejournal.com profile] cummings_chal entry. [livejournal.com profile] coloredvision wrote this untitled sirius/remus. i don't even know what to say about it. it startled me. it's really just beautiful... and if you had described it to me - prose poem, first person... etc, i wouldn't have understood that it would be the thing of beauty that it is.... If these moments could last forever, if only. I record them in my body, in my bones, in my breath. These moments must last forever, because we will not.
phineasjones: (crucify me)
the light outside is so so pretty - all bright yellow. but not actually bright, as it's raining.

today is an exciting day for church. because [livejournal.com profile] annelarissa's coming to sing us a solo! yay! today's sermon is 'beyond belief' - with discussion of recent jesus study, mystical tradition v. orthodoxy, the creative imagination of religious liberals and reference to elaine pagels new book on the gospel of thomas. as a former historical jesus geek, i'm very interested to hear what she has to say. for the music, i focus on that mystical thing. anney will sing vaughan williams' the call from the five mystical songs. the choir will sing come down o love divine - such a lovely tune, ah yes.

oops. i have to leave in 10 minutes and i need to dress and eat first. haha. ::runs::
