phineasjones: (love)
when my alarm goes off at 5 am, it takes me several minutes at least to figure out what the hell is going on. it's early. and dark. and i'm having second thoughts about the summery outfit i picked out last night, now, in this early morning dark and cool. hm.

yesterday was a lovely day except for the heat and humidity. [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl and [livejournal.com profile] annelarissa and i went to atkins for lunch and produce (ok, well, i bought produce, anney's just barely finished unpacking her kitchen) then we went back to her place (which she has already just about finished unpacking... which is craziness) and watched amber benson's chance. very very cute. except i couldn't convince myself that james marsters wasn't putting on a really bad fake american accent.

[livejournal.com profile] starbuckle comes today! ::bounce bounce:: she's going to pass out when she sees what anney's managed to do with the place already. i don't know when she'll get here, but i'll be doing the church thing til the afternoon anyway. today's topic is something about institutional religion and how participating is important. or something. we're singing gather the spirit which is known to most UUs as a hymn. and rightfully so. the choral arrangement kind of sucks but, to my shame, i picked it anyway because it fit the theme well. and then also peace like a river. because it's easy. hey, i don't have time to let my musical integrity in every week.
thanks to whoever it was that mentioned there is a new chapter of moving pictures. it's good to keep up with the decent harry/rons. but the new chapter is sadly lacking in harry/ron. meh.
phineasjones: (yo ho)
have just returned from [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle and [livejournal.com profile] annelarissa's apartment where i was helping dear jenny assemble her mammoth desk-in-a-box. 'twas rather complicated. but i brought my power tool, so all was well.

i am quite sleepy now, as it has been a long - and very good - day. church was, like, interesting. no, really. this minister is very smart and says things in a succinct and thought-provoking manner. it's pretty amazing. and it makes the hour of the service a thousand times more enjoyable than it used to be.

so i think it's time to read the DPS story [livejournal.com profile] dorrie6 recced and drink my white tea and then catch some zzzzzs.

jenny and anney live here now. it's crazy. and really, really good.
