i expend so much effort in these rehearsals. i wonder if the singers have any idea just how much energy - mental and physical - it takes to guide them through an hour and a half of music. maybe guide isn't the right word. maybe push is closer.

came home and polished silverware. it's going to be a shiny thanksgiving, it is. tomorrow we shop for the remaining food items, set up the tables etc. finish cleaning... iron the table linens. :) yay. my inner martha is so happy right now.

but outer phineas is exhausted. time for the sleepies. well... maybe i can find me one lil h/d first... just one!

oh, what a loverly morning. so delightfully peaceful. even the sounds of the screaming children from the school across the street are muffled by the snow. ahhhhh.

my fingers still smell a little like silver polish. it was fun, polishing the silverware, for about 10 minutes. watching the tarnish disappear and the silver shine. after an hour, it was less fun. but it sure looks pretty now.

alrighty. i probably won't be around much here from now til friday. too busy. but in a good, holiday way. have i mentioned how much i love holidays and traditions? to a fault, one could probably say. to the extent that when hominidj wanted to go out to a movie last christmas eve, i nearly took his head off. (he may not have realized it, but the decapitation was imminent.) don't know why exactly, but i like my holidays just so. hence, today will be a busy day. and tomorrow, i hope, a good one.

and speaking of hominidj, YAYAYAYAY!!! he's here! right? in this state somewhere? yay. and i'll see him tomorrow. oh, that's so exciting!!!!
