getting ready for yet another rehearsal. but tonight, i get to sing! first rehearsal with orchestra and their conductor conducting. i hope to sing soprano but if the altos crash i may have to pinch hit. it's ok. i'm bisectional.

i also might have to be pompous and leave the chorus to listen for problems, balance issues etc. on occasion. just because i can.

i'm quite pleased with today. lovely time in the yellow room though poor anney kept falling off the papasan. the letter came and was generally positive. i did much necessary cleaning and now have freshly ironed clothes. paid bills. wrote the awful letter of apology. exercised. right on, that's a good day. and a music-filled night to come. supah.

also, this just in: tact is overrated.

oh, and also, there was the funniest commentary on all things considered about the 'freedom fries' thing and how the french would dance in the streets like they did when we drove out the nazis if only we would take their name off the rest of out food.

and YAY for getting to sing and still separating self from choir by mysteriously and knowledgeably taking off to listen for balance. sounds like fun... hope that's what really happened!

glad you like the pun... and that it's new to you. when i was singing in 'boston's chorus for members and friends of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered communities' it was way overdone.

speaking of buffy... it occurred to me later about the ben-alter ego reference... i think you may have been confusing faith and glory. doesn't ben have something to do with glory? i don't think (i may be wrong) that faith appears at all in season 5.

singing with the choir was really fun. and acting all know-it-all was fun too. the choir's in better shape than the orchestra - when does that ever happen? ::pats self on back::

uh oh. yep, you're right. faith has dark hair, doesn't she? and glory has curly light brown? anyway, you were right, and it's she who has the alter-ego, which i still don't get. but at least that's not unusual.

that pun definitely wasn't going to be making any appearances in the basilica choir at catholic disneyworld. never heard it before :-)
