so, now have watched the hp deleted scenes. concluded that it would be a better movie with the scenes. but still... would it be that hard to develop harry as a character? to give the kid something to do besides knit his brown and occasionally look surprised?

also, this has only increased my great need to pinch rupert grint's cute little cheeks. steals the show, he does.

am excited about prospects of watching hp dvd (re-rented w/ mom) tonight. 11-year-old furrowed brows are enough for me. :)

i v. much like the deleted scenes -- esp. the whole deal w/ harry and snape: great part of book sadly extricated from movie. [sigh] can't win 'em all ... but my heart always leaps when books manage to be better than their corresponding films. hollywood will not take over the publishing industry -- not yet, at least.

ooh. have fun with hp and mom!

yeah, i like the scences too. esp all the ones with ron in them. aiii. the kid kills my with him chubby little cheeks and his accent and the adoring way he looks at harry.

books will survive. yes, this is my prediction. cuz really, you could count on one hand the number of movies that have stood up to the quality of their corresponding books. imho.
