good to be back, yo. yesterday felt like some nasty forced exile. especially when it became clear that other people were back on and i still wasn't. then i went to work and couldn't resist checking... and of course i could get on from there. i caved at the end of the day and checked in to read just a few posts. then spent some time erasing all the history i could find.

sadly, for all this time, i have very little to report. i worked yesterday. with C, so it was pretty fun. um, relatively. it also meant that i was there for 4 hours but only put in for 3 of them because i know we spent at least an hour talking. all good.

and camillafarfalla came over last night. very good to see her. ::pets camilla::

OH! and the biggest news of yesterday - rach got into grad school!!! her first acceptance. whew. this is pretty damn exciting. labor studies at umass amherst. want to congratulate her? go here.

projects for today - bring the laptop in for a repair estimate, clean and fix up the bedroom.
the laptop thing is too depressing. i talked to someone on the phone today who told me this kind of problem will likely cost $700 - 1000 to fix.

the bedroom is a much more enticing prospect. i intend to be brutally honest in the process of removing clothes i never where from my drawers and wardrobe. and then we get to do fun things too - stain the wardrobe and make a mosaic design on the mirror. good times.

WAAAHHH!!! and as i was sitting here, rach got acceptance letter #2!!! sociology at northeastern! my baby's brilliant!
