i'm leaving out the whistles and bells

it's snowing... but not enough to prevent me from being able to go to work tonight. :( ::looks at sky pleadingly::
work today was unexpectedly fun. when i got there, i spent an hour editing one person's sermons... they weren't very good. and then there was one in which she basically says "spanking a child is ok." sure, some people think so. but i had my doubts that the church i'm working for wanted to take that stance. i asked, they didn't. anyway, we ended up deleting all the stuff i had edited. then i had an hour long discussion with my 'boss' who sings in my church choir... about our (evil!)minister and all her problems and what a mess the church is. it's sad. very very sad. i hope they find a way to resolve it soon. a way that involves her not being there anymore would be especially good.
then i went back to work but really spent the majority of the time chatting with the other young person there, C. i like her. and she's funny - since i mentioned having a girlfriend, she's been dropping huge hints about her own gayness. cute. and then i ended my day there by editing a really good sermon about death. and about how to be human is to have to make a choice between hope and despair. very tolkien. and beautifully written.
i wish i could take a nap now. or read the end of fotr - i'm finally being more consistent about reading and getting sucked in. but i have to plan tonight's rehearsal. bleh.
