phineasjonessee, look, i really am back - posting two days in a row! \\\\o////
i am here for two things: to tell you my feelings about teen wolf s3e1 and to blither randomly.
ok, i liked that episode for many reasons. first and foremost, if i let myself forget about some previous actions of scott's and just meet him anew, i liked him super a lot! he is earnest and smart and trying to be a good dude and, unlike maybe 75% of fandom, i always like the ones who are trying to be good dudes. not only this, but he stayed away from allison at her request and he is proud of himself for giving her the space she requested. good job, little dude.
i thought the car scene, pre-deer, was pretty adorable and hilarious.
i LOVE allison and lydia as bffs (or other things too). they may not have quite passed bechdel (did they talk about anything not related to boys/sex?) but my favorite moment was the lockers when lydia said 'i love you, so...' i mean. how often to female friends get to say 'i love you' to each other on tv. doesn't feel very often to me.
also i liked stiles. also i liked derek's butt.
i enjoyed scott and derek being decent to each other (though i was like DEREK I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FORGAVE HIS BULLSHIT but then i just tried not to think about the past again).
also i liked deucalion's v-neck sweater.
things i didn't like so much included the badass lady's possible death. please tell me that the mysterious, UN-NAMED AGAIN YOU BASTARD, badass woman of color doesn't die in one episode. please tell me she has a story and we get to know it.
and kali's foot-claws. jeff david seems to think this is an awesomely badass idea but... it's pretty weird. she doesn't wear shoes... ok. she has pointy toenails... ok. she walks is a bizarre toe-to-heel fasion that makes no sense. ok. whatever floats your boat, man.
and my jury is out on the double-twin beast. unexpected, yes, but... idk, i can barely get my mind around the possibilities for weirdness.
willa has a couple bffs - elsa and cora. elsa goes to her daycare and cora is my coworker's daughter. we take each other's kids every other tuesday morning, so willa gets to see cora once a week. except this last couple weeks they've been away. today we were at a playground and she saw someone she thought was cora and she pretty much chased her down. i felt so bad for her as i told her it wasn't cora, but i don't think she even believed me. which i also felt bad about, since that would mean cora was just ignoring her. she did seem to recover from this just fine.
we've had a pretty good morning together, me and willa. she ate well at breakfast, snack and lunch (pretty rare) and she went down to her nap without a whole lot of fuss. so today is pretty much a win so far... now it's all about how long the nap lasts and what we do with the afternoon before rachael comes home. i have no plans yet, which is the kiss of death. i should really come up with something. man, it is hard to be a lazy procrastinator with a baby around. they are seriously not in to hanging around and doing nothing. or... sometime they are, actually, but their version of that includes destroying things in your house while you're trying to chill out. sometimes i just let is happen for a few minutes of calm. yep. that's my parenting method. i can always buy more toilet paper/wash the ink off the wall/get a new cat.

I think Roger's getting tired of picking up after them. ;)
(Still haven't watched the premiere, did not read that part, will come back when I do!)
