when i was only reading lotrips, i felt like i was reading everything there was - at least, everything that interested me... kept up from day to day. always wishing there were more hiding somewhere, but concluding that i read all that was worth reading. reading hp produces an entirely different feeling. there is _so_ much out there. my goodness. and yesterday there was a veritable explosion of extremely good fic. i feel like i am never going to read all the hp worth reading.

yeah, camillafarfalla and i had an extended, squeeful conversation last night about the good fics and ToS and... all of it. may i say how much i love having a rl friend who's into all this? when she was squeeing to me about elijah and his mini, i had a moment of inner-fist-shaking-at-sky that she wasn't on this continent in january when i was first getting into all this and felt like there was no one else in the real world who cared and like what i was doing was freakish and shameful. i'm so over that now, and was long before she came back... but still... squeeing with someone feels better than squeeing alone.

and now, yet more fic to be a-readin'... then back to the hobbitses...

okay, enlighten me. always been a little scare of the hp fandom, so i've been reluctant to wade through the dreck to get to the goodies. any good harry/snape or harry/oliver or harry/lupin or harry/black in what you've read?

i understand the reluctance to wade through the dreck. yes. but there are some out there that make it worth it.

ok. lessee... i won't be of much help with the harry/lupin or black because, much to my distress, i seem to have developed an otp which is sirius/remus. alas, they can be with no one but each other. whoops. didn't mean for that to happen.

my favorite harry/snape is this one (http://trickster.org/sigrid/familiar.html). starts strangely but stick with it. heh, i called it my favorite, but really it's one of the only i really know.

because, yes, i read mostly h/d. and that's what yesterday's amazing fics were. the most lusciously amazing is hackthis's current series the contract. there are four parts thus far, the agreement (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=hackthis&itemid=55222), the rules (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=hackthis&itemid=54991#cutid1), the loophole (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=hackthis&itemid=55590#cutid1) and the clause (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=hackthis&itemid=55847#cutid1). you might want to check her website (http://www.obsessedmuch.net/dysfunctional/) for harry/oliver... m'not sure if there is any but she writes lots of pairings. and it's all good.

hi. um. what's an otp? my guess is that i'm in the same boat... but i'd like to perhaps have the definition of the acronym before i officially apply it to myself!!

i'm not sure if it's supposed to mean the pair that can only be with each other, but that how it works for me here. really, i think it's like the _one_ pairing that you love to be in love the mostest. mmm. sirius and remus!!!!
