haven't posted a food pic in a while. a week, at least. :) this was last night's dinner, panzanella. one of my attempts to make dinner without generating heat. it was SO GOOD. i used this recipe, veganized, and added a couple handfuls of baby spinach to get in my daily dose of greens. so much yum.

it's been a crazy week of cats. chloe was at the vet for two days - probably only that long because of the holiday. yesterday i picked her up and got her results. she tested positive as a carrier of fip (feline leukemia). that doesn't mean she has it, but it means she can pass it to other cats. whatever made her puke all over the house was either and allergic reaction or a parasite. we're still waiting to hear on that one. so now we're nervous about stella. i brought her in this morning so she could be tested and get her annual check up and shots. we'll find out about fip tomorrow when the blood test is done. the vet tried to reassure me by telling me that most cats who get fip and get sick and die from it are 1 year old or younger. stella's almost 4. so. good? rach and i are nervous. and we're also headed for the poorhouse. oh, kitties, we do love you.

little stella gave me quite the workout trying to get her into her carrier this morning. she was upstairs when i opened it but i think she must have heard me. she hid from me when i went up there and then bolted down the stairs, into the bedroom closet, then out, into the kitchen then around and back up the stairs then down again, around again and up again, then down again and finally i cornered her in the bedroom closet. whew.
