i felt like they had strength when the men let them have strength. every story was about a man avenging horrible wrong done to women. women may have tried to help, but if they did, they got their hand cut off and eaten before beying riddled with bullets or the hero smacked them out of the way, or they were led into action by the male hero, or they were strong until the male hero showed up to save the day.
sure, in clive owen's story, we had those poweful hookers. he told us all about them. and then he saved them -- even after a woman ratted them out. a woman who, don't you worry, got hers in the end.
