last night i just wasn't in the mood for lj (i know, what?) and so i've got some flist to catch up on today. but i have a therapy appointment in 20 minutes. so the catching up won't be now.

but i just read something in between by dorrie6 and i had to stop by and rec it. it's a short piece about neville and about being almost grown up. and it's beautiful.

also, the temp agency just called to ask me to go back to 'the candle' for two days next week. a different assignment for different people. i said no. because next week is crazy enough anyway and i am done with that place. but you all who told me temp agencies don't mind when you reject assignments ought to call mine up and let them know that. she seemed mighty put out. even though i explained about the mind-numbing, exhausting work and how i was trained for more admin-ish things. she didn't buy it. she practically begged me to take it. i held firm. i'm not sure that was a good idea. but. we'll see.

i think i need to change my default icon.

I've always found that temp agencies will be annoyed, especially if the client liked you.

However, if you don't make a habit of it, it shouldn't affect your getting work.

And dude. Our administrative assistant here used to work for "the candle". From the stories I've heard, I get the feeling they probably have a hard time attracting employees. Not a happy place, from the sound of it.

She was probably desperate. But yeah, as long as you don't do it all the time with everything, they'll deal. If you hate an assignment, you don't have to go back to it.
