t'ai chi last night was great. there were only three people in the class so there was lots of personal help and attention. we started with a seated meditation and then a standing meditation and then there were breathing exercises and then there was long, quiet stretching. dude. i would pay him $15/hr just for the relaxation i felt in the first 20 minutes of the class. and then we mostly reviewed what he covered in the workshop two weeks ago - grasp sparrow's tail and wild horse parts mane. though, now i now how to change the direction of my 'walk.'
i really like the teacher, gihoon. he seemed less nervous in this small class than he was at the crowded workshop. he clearly knows his stuff and his movements are incredibly graceful. also, when we were stretching, we did the V-sit thing. except his V was actually a straight line. and when he leaned forward, he put his stomach on the floor. impressive. also, there was the part when he was showing us how t'ai chi movements were rooted in martial arts by giving us a little demonstration with the boy in the class, brian. gihoon is rather pretty and this boy, brian, isn't bad either (i would also be surprised to find out that he isn't gay). and this little demonstration was... well, it was enlightening as to the source of the movements. and it also involved lots of boy touching and was hot. and whatever, i never said i wasn't shallow.
and then i had a happy moment when gihoon asked me if i had done t'ai chi before. when i shook my head, he said, "well. either you are good or i am good." hee.
i hate my temp work less when i think that it gave me the funds for six weeks of t'ai chi.
i haven't really sorted out in my head what happens next in dom/ron-land. but i have a two hour drive today, so that's really perfect. i have vague ideas. so, yes, we'll see.
ok, now i'm with you.
camillafarfalla had told me something about a polar bear on the island and i had thought "fun" and "quirky." and then last week, i thought maybe she had it wrong and it was actually some kind of freaky, mutilating monster. maybe that's still there, but i'm glad for the weirdness of the polar bear incident. it adds some quirky to the creepy.
so. charliedom is a junkie. this was called last week by many people on my flist. i, however, was thinking, boy, he really had to pee! it troubles me to watch dom all drugged out like that. ::pets him::
what did kate do??? what did she do? i'm so curious now. she was one impressively clean and well made-up prisoner.
oooooh! said is iraqi!!! ::snort:: i paused the tape at that point to laugh long and loud and yell into the other room to tell rach the fun new character element. i mean, it's the kind of thing that i'm glad people who don't yet realize that iraqis are people too will see. but it made me laugh a lot. but asshole-racist guy not being the prisoner was a stronger slap to my stereotypes.
i like zen bald man (who everyone recognizes but me).
aaaaaand. yeah. that's all.
