Can you have a little chat with your temp agency and redefine a little more what you're looking for, or say something like, "I understand that I've been able to fill in in critical situations- and I've been glad to be able to do that - but some of these positions have been really draining and rough, and I'd really love to get a couple of positions that are a little more easy-going" or something. They might respond well... It's just not fair for you, the good temp, to continue fgetting the crappy gigs, while the bad temps are being rewarded for their finickyness and getting the cushy places.
