phineasjonesso, today the plan was to rehearse with two of the singers and the 'orchestra' at 11, then nothing til the dress rehearsal at 7. i figured i'd come into town early, play on line, rehearse, go sit in the library and study the score for a few hours and then eat and be ready for the dress rehearsal.
i packed everything i'd need for the day into my rolly carry-on and wheeled it downtown. a few blocks from main street, i got a call on my cell. it was maggie. she had just driven by me and suddenly realized that maybe i didn't know today's schedule changes. instead of 11, we're to meet with the singers at 3.
::deep breaths::
she had assumed i would somehow know. she's the only one who has my number and knows where i'm staying. i'm as close to completely irritated as you can get with a really sweet person like her. meaning well is starting to mean less.
but i'm here. i have computer, i have internet. all will be well.
