wah. why can't i find the lyrics for 'use well the days' anywhere? ok then, i will make a wee attempt at transcription...
around the corner there may wait
a new road or a secret gate
and though i have passed them by
a day will come
i will take the hidden paths that run
west of the moon and east of the sun
i'm glad that you are here with me
here at the end of all things
night too shall be beautiful
and blessed and its fear will pass
i must leave, must cross this sea
the love you gave is all i take with me
use well the days
use well the days
turn your face to the green world
use well the days
seven stars and seven stones
and one white tree from all the ____? seas
use well the days
use well the days
turn your face to the green world
use well the days
just that one word i can't figure out.
hm. it's in frodo's voice. whereas 'into the west' is in sam's. which makes the two of the songs together even more gut wrenching than they are by themselves.
right, so. i'm going to work now. that's the whole reason i'm not at home today. but i don't begrudge myself the (kitten-free) sleep i got this morning. i seem to have needed it. and, while i'd rather be home snuggling with my girl, i don't mind the idea of being at work today. let's see if i can get actual work done. heh.
