i think basket case would be an acceptable term to apply to me today. while at my parents' house, i snagged some cds of theirs that i want to copy. among them was my college a cappella groups latest cd. (yeah, why the have it and i don't...?) and now i'm listening as i work and getting all kinds of teary. why? hm. because it's a feminist group, still. because they were a huge influence on my life. because i feel like i was important to keeping them afloat when it was shakey for a while there and now they're still going and they're better than ever. because it's hard not to get nostalgic for college days every once and a while. nice shoes, man.
