sometimes it takes my (almost) 3-year old son to make me realize it's just rain.
i stood, staring at my coffee maker this morn, willing it to work faster and sighing every time i looked out my window into the gray air. my son waddles in all fresh-faced, hair tousled and suddenly exclaims "Rain, Mommy! Yeeeah!" for some reason, this just turned me right around. i suddenly was excited to run around outside with him and jump through puddles on the way to our car. he is much better than a strong cup of coffee.
