hey pumpkin eaters: i forgot to mention about the risotto that is also really good in cakes. like, if you refrigerate it (or use leftovers) for a few hours after you make it and then form it into patties and sauté them in olive oil til they're crispy on the outside and then serve them with a nice tomato compote. frickin yummy.

i've returned from atkins with much lovely produce. i may have to spend the rest of the day cooking. you know what i like? vegetables! i love that right now you can get local tomatoes and sugar pumpkins. once again, i feel it should be noted that fall is the perfect time of year.

speaking of which, there's a tree across from my house that's going orange at the top. maybe i'll have to go take a picture.
