the moon is huge tonight. huge.
quite the day. or not really. the drive to my grandfather's was long. i took him to walmart (which he calls walmart's) and then to his favorite restaurant. it's one of those joints that seems to cater exclusively to old folks. bland food for cheap, friendly waitstaff, wallpaper and flowery curtains. it makes him happy though, so whatever. he has the oddest little style of chatting/flirting where he'll just make things up... like he said to the woman at the register in walmart, 'didn't i see you last week in england?' and he said to me, 'remember when you used to ride your motorcycle out here?' and when you play along, he thinks it's great fun. he also had to introduce me as a violinist to everyone we talked to. hmm. yeah, it's been a few years, but i just smiled and nodded. whatever makes him happy.
it was a gorgeous day to be driving around in new hampshire.
and i just read a bunch of stuff but i'm not really up for reccing any of it. nothing thrilled me. i would like to be thrilled. that sounds nice. but instead i have to go do some work. yep. work. even though i'm exhausted and want to sleep. i need to get this out before tomorrow. meh.
