i can't even write, really, because my mood is so horrifying. i'm just here to record my desire to stab the component layout with a fork. it looks like it should work nicely. it seems like a good idea. but no. don't be fooled. it's evil. ::clings to old layout::

and with that, i'll either cry for a couple more hours or finish that frickin grant report.
