well, oops, i meant to respond to this sooner. this is a tricky subject and generally i suppose abortion politics are not best discussed over lj comments... but for my stronlgy pro choice stance, that episode sucked the big one.

just the message we were left with. andy wants to support the right to chose, but her thinks it's murder and he won't do it. kate gets passed from doctor to doctor (with no explanation to her!) after hours. she comes out tearful and - one could assume - almost regretful. so dr. abbott has to go to church and confess! the very last words of the show, 'i have sinned.' i thought i was going to vomit. the only person on the show who didn't seem to have a problem with abortion was kate's freakishly evil father. and maybe grandma abbott - who's speach was peachy but did nothing to change the fact that the whole focus of this show about what i see as an issue of women's rights was men and what they think about it and how they deal with it. yeah, i really hated that show.

i'll be v. happy to get to next week's episode - lots of ephram and some good angst. that's what it should be, yo.
