annelarissa and i just had our last five college early music performance and it went quite well.
thinking in terms of 'last' and 'goodbye' makes my stomach do flip flops. so i'll stop that now.
other things have been happening...annelarissa had a salon for her birthday party. it was excellent. there were many interesting, fun presentations. anney and i sang a couple a cappella duets and she sang american tune while i accompanied her on violin. mmm_cake baked a braided cream cheese bread (omg, yum). anney's work friends led an earring-making workshop, had us play a drawing game and write some things. hominidj gave us his commentary on bush's recent press conference. scottxwl made an amazingly fabulous video about how he and anney got together. the characters were played by buffy action figures. willow was anney, tara was scott and cordelia was me! yay! ♥ scott. it was awesome. fuschia read a poem in russian and her english translation. wildgreentide read from beowolf. starbuckle read a short story she wrote. oh, yes, and fuschia's hubby squeezed water 20 feet. i can't think of a better way to describe that.
a talented bunch, and a fun party.
then on saturday, i went bydorrie6's for some firefly. mmm. i'm going to move into their house and live on their couch in front of their beautiful, beautiful tv. it was nice to see dorrie6 and her husband again and to meet lucy and dorrie. so cute! and, wow, very enthusiastic, that puppy.
and then, last night, anney and i saw anonymous 4. ::happy sigh:: i thought i had missed my chance to see them live when they stopped touring last year, but yay! they came back for one more concert. or something. whatever. they're amazing and i wish i had their job.
now, the week of occupied nights is at a blessed end. i am tired but i might stay up a bit writing formulaic, teen-angsty sirius/remus. mmmteenangst.
