holdenrevisited is my hero!

here's my story. today i brought my car in for some (incredibly fucking expensive) regular maintenance. the mechanic gave me a loaner to use for the day. all good. so, i'm sitting at home this morning and the doorbell rings, and it's an incredibly nice guy who happened to be driving by and saw a car with its lights on out front of the house and rang the bell in case it was mine. indeed it was. that guy earned himself some serious karma points today. sadly, when i made the same mistake later outside of annelarissa's apartment building, there was no karma-building guy driving by. or perhaps there was, but he didn't know which bell to ring.

so, yes, when the mechanic called at 4:30 and i went to drive their car back to them and retrieve my own, the car wouldn't start. i killed the battery dead. just yesterday, i had been thinking about how if my car didn't beep to remind me when my headlights are on, i would probably never remember. not in the daylight (dim though it may be) anyway.

scottxwl and anney were on the case, but they had no jumper cables. forunately, scott called holden. not only did she have cables, but she was right nearby! she came, we jumped, i made it to the car place before they closed, and i have my little spike back. thanks to my super friends, all is well.

also today, after making this post about potentially switching therapists, i called umass to ask about the possibility of doing that and whether they knew of ADD specific therapists. they said they'll call me back. which they did... during my therapy session. i took the call because i thought it might be the mechanic. nope. and my therapist totally could hear what they were saying. and i still haven't even decided whether to break up with her! oh, it was very stressful. but she thought they were calling because i needed to make an appointment with the shrink, so all is well. and we had a really good session today, so now i'm all confused again.

wah. this was a whirlwind day. to be followed by a series of whirlwind days, it seems. concerts tomorrow night and wednesday night and sunday night. anney's birthday salon on friday. omg! that, with work on thursday and a saturday outing, is something every night this week! dude.
