(no subject)

hi. i am tired but happy right now. bc omg, i got in to colorado. ::stupid grin::

and last night we celebrated scottxwl's birthday (same as remus lupin's!) by eating good food and drinking good drinks and playing fun party games (such as 'pin the gabrielle on the xena').

there was also a twinge of sadness to looking around the room and thinking about being so far away from these people in years to come. but it's not like i'll be the only one leaving. and... well, i love them all too much to lose touch. but, omg, ::clings::

cim left me a comment that said something about the track my life is on. and i never think of myself of being an 'on track' sort of person. but then i remembered coming home from visiting colorado last year and coming up with a plan for myself that involved therapy, tai chi/dealing with anxiety, and working toward going back to school. and there have certainly been ups and downs since then but generally... wow. it hasn't even been a whole year and look how much i've learned and done. i'm feeling immensely pleased about this. sleepy and pleased.
