this thing on?

skim skimminy skim skim skirroo... lalala. if anything happened that i should know about - or that you want me to know about - please let me know. i have not been my usual lj-fiend-ish self this weekend. really, i was not my usual anything self. all i did was eat and watch movies. well, there was a brief visit from mom & E... which involved eating... and which was lovely. and claire was here overnight on saturday, since it didn't seem like a wise idea for her to drive home during the blizzard.

i'd have to say, as blizzards go, this one didn't seem so bad. i think it was a lot worse in eastern ma than it was here. i was not especially sad that i had to sleep and eat and watch movies on sunday instead of going to church but i was sad that i missed my planned meet-up with jjtaylor. wah. another week.

so. what did we watch? well, it wasn't time for catching up on all those classics we've missed, oh no. it was crap time. well, not entirely. but mostly. we watched: a cinderella story (omg, worse than i had even imagined), princess diaries 2 (bizarrely enjoyable), a home at the end of the world (not as good as i'd hoped, but colin farrell boy-kissing yay), napoleon dynamite (um... huh), eight episodes of the L word and an rotk extra or two. is that an impressive weekend or what?

and what did we eat? too much to recount here. but much of it had to do with rachael's amazing success at making vegan marshmallows (picture here) and the subsequent rice crispie treats. i'll just tell you that i honestly think i've gained about 10 pounds since friday. and all i want to eat today is salad and other green things. i think i'll go with that inclination.
