i watched the weta digital rotk extra last night and was all teary again. i was all : ::sniffle:: i love those people! this is so... well. i've certainly mulled this over plenty already but my geekitude as regards these films is unprecedented in my life. and this came home to me while watching the empire strikes back with scott and anney the other night. because scott knows the geeky background info on those movies but it's all news to me. i love those movies. they have always been so huge for me and i've seen them a thousand times. but, honestly, i have no remote interest a 'making of' kind of thing. eh. but lotr. tell me everything! everything. please. spare me no detail.

there are few things in the world that i feel that way about. and seriously, i just wanted to grab every one of those nerdy effects people and smooch them mightily for the good they have done. i love them, i love their faith in peter jackson and every one of their sleepless nights. which makes me a huge dork but i'm totally ok with that.

omg! i am so jealous. just yesterday i was all a-dither with the brilliance of bobby mcferrin and this morning i learn that he's going to be at my friend's school at the end of this month. and he's going to work with her choir. omg. i might die of jealousy.

::weary sigh:: you know, i am not always right on time for my weekly meeting with the minister. but when i am not going to make it on time (and hi, it's a two-hour drive) i always make some attempt to reach her. ::checks cell phone:: ::checks e-mail:: ::knocks again on minister's office door:: grrrrrrrr!!!!
