Oct. 17th, 2004 06:22 amfor a little while there, i was pretty sure i wouldn't be able to get out of bed at all this morning. but here i am, awake and at my desk and cursing my job like i do every sunday morning.
let's see, what did i say i wanted to do yesterday?
-practice tai chi (will anyone mind if i go out in the empty part of the cemetery to do it? do i care?)
-edit a certain fic much overdue for editing
-work on my halloween costume (a sewing project. and i've never sewed before. should be interesting.)
-do some job searching
-watch star wars with
scottxwl
what i actually managed:
-practiced tai chi. oh, it was so nice. and no one came and ran me out of the cemetery as i feared they might.
-i started working on my halloween costume. it's slow going, this pattern-work. cut out, iron, pin on, cut out. ::yawn:: i still have more pinning and cutting to do before i can actually sew.
-did the most perfunctory of job searching. but i came across two part-time admin jobs that have some potential. i want to do more searching today and then tomorrow send out some resumes. yes, that's a plan.
-i watched star wars with
scottxwl and
annelarissa. yay! so shiny. and it was anney's first time! and luke and han are soinlove. ::sigh:: and anney and i practiced a little before i left and... we're almost there. almost there.
-we watched last week's lost (thank you,
holdenrevisited!). ♥x1,000,000,000,000. that's what i have to say. omg, i loved it.
right, so, missing from that list is working on the editing. wtf is my problem??? wah. must finish. must.
so, today's post-church list goes:
-lunch with rach, claire and dan
-work on beta
-work on story edit
-search job listings
-work on halloween costume
that seems reasonable, doesn't it? except that whenever i get home from church+two hour drive, i just want a long nap. so. we'll see.
oh. and church today will be about hinduism. this is fine except for two things. 1.) the choral music is a bit silly (no, tenor section, i really don't need to hear another joke about there are numerous strings in your lute). as hindu choral music... yeah, what hindu choral music? and 2.) the minister's husband (also a minister) is giving a sermon entitled, our cousins, the hindus. um. do you share my pain?
