finally, i am happy with my lj layout. i never really liked the supposedly firefly-ish one. this one is springy and makes me much happier.

other things that make me happy are -
-reading femslash by [livejournal.com profile] madmadharri
-clean clothes (in the dryer, almost there)
-contemplating a walk down by the beach (and probably actually doing it would make me even happier)
-coffee, as always

alrighty. i let myself stay here and not go in to boston to work but i should really at least try to get something done for church job#2 while i'm here.
phineasjones: (mind (madmadharri))
oh. my. god. endless love to [livejournal.com profile] prillalar for the link. ::passes out::

this pic was an icon waiting to be made. who am i to deny it?

omg, am i ever going to get off my ass today????
phineasjones: (understand)
fuck it, i am so not going to get anything done today... check it out yo:

Thank you for your recent e-mail and your interest in the Hartford Chorale... We are holding auditions for new singers in all voice parts next month, specifically June 17, 18 and 19....

This coming season will start with the Northeast premiere of The Lord of the Rings Symphony (conducted by the composer, Howard Shore), which will on the Hartford Symphony's pops calendar, on September 18 and 19 (two performances for sure and possibly a third, depending on ticket sales). We don't usually have a gig that early in the season, so we'll have to start rehearsals in early August. Then we're doing Part I of the Bach Christmas Oratorio...

yada yada. bach who? omg, i'm so doing this. [livejournal.com profile] annelarissa? you in? anyone else? come on, singers!

oh and... I hope you decide to make an appointment to audition; it sounds like you have a lot of experience and would be an asset to the group.

heehhahha. if i were any less manic, i might feel slightly guilty about my plans to use and drop these people. but at the moment, i can't remember what guilt is.
phineasjones: (phineas)
does it count as humiliation if everyone around you thinks what you are doing is just fine and dandy and only you think of it as humiliating?

this question comes from a person about to sing dancing queen with two middle-aged women while holding a blow dryer and wearing a sparkly tie. in front of a paying audience.

i don't have to be a snob. really, i don't. i can embrace music as cheezy fun. if i couldn't, i wouldn't be doing this in the first place, would i?

so, i'm off to the church. and then i'm going to be crazy girl and drive all the way home. so i can get my sweetie and bring her back with me tomorrow.

must go make up. ::kisses::
