please, friends, forgive me this icon. i needed to do it, i just couldn't help myself. but, as you can see, i sadly lack the required skillz. alas.

so, also, there's been this scene in my head for days. will and bran's first time. yeah. can't let it go. so i wrote it down. i'd call it a pwp but it's not even that. it's more like a play-by-play. just writing out what's been in my head. and i'm pretty sure it will never become fic, so i'm just throwing it out here. plotless, angsty, sappy smut.

i have had a lovely productive morning. yes indeed. so now the trick is keeping it up. right.

last night i made mashed red potatoes with carmelized onions and fennel. damn was that good. i didn't think i would like the fennel but i'm very glad i tried it anyway. cooking makes me happy. as does eating. :P

hrm. i totally thought that writing down that will/bran smut would get it out of my head. but of course not. now i just keep thinking - what came before? what happens next? d'oh.

i have some beta-ing to do, some books to make, actual work to do etc etc. and i must go outside again today bc this weather is perfect. gorgeous. amazing. i loooooooooove it here. love it love it.

rec and babble

first the rec. a very well-paced, snarky, humorous, dramatic, angsty harry/draco. extremely satisfying read. contingency by dorrie6. she's been hiding out in lotrips but this is one hell of a first hp fic (at least, i think it's her first).

as i suspected i might, i lost my productive streak today. lost it. bleh. well, i did a few worthwhile things. i wrote to the director of the five college early music program to see if he could recommend someone for me to study voice with. i have always enjoyed singing early music more than any other style. i want to learn how to do it right. my voice is of the sweet, not-heavily vibratoed variety and thus i feel that i could do well in this area. yes. so i hope he writes back. um. and rach and i rode our bikes to cornucopia. that wasn't a big task or anything but it was nice to get out in the sun. um. i made peanut noodles. and. e-mailed some more people. set up a voice lesson for one of my students. yeah, those are really the only worthwhile things i've done since 11 am. except for snuggling my sweetie and reading dorrie6's story. yeah, that's it.

i also accidentally deleted my well-thought-out to do list when my computer froze and i hadn't saved it. pooh.

on the upside, i bought orange blossom white tea and i'm about to try it. maybe it will make me feel better.

also, i want some will/bran. just one good one and then i'll go to bed. i swear.
