better by far you should forget and smile

we're here in the 'burbs. at my parents' house amid a veritable menagerie of kitties. i turned over this morning and there was one sleeping next to me. so cute. my own kitty never even gets on our bed. this one stayed while i yanked the blankets out from under him and got up to pee and came back. and then he got up and started kneading my belly. less cute.

we had a lovely day yesterday in new hampshire with my parents. found a wedding present for SB. swam with the whole fam in my favorite pond. good times.

and now, i have work to do. i'm going to meet the new minister at church today. pllleeeeeeeeaaaaase let me like her. everyone else seems to... that's a good sign. not that anyone ever told me the last minister was evil. right. here's hoping.

such a lazy so and so

the new minister gets a thumbs up from me. i had a moment of thinking she was a batty old lady (when i had to show her how to use the phone) and well, that may or may not be accurate. but she also seems smart and sweet and good at what she does. and ::cue choir of angels:: she wants to choose the hymns! eeeee!!! that was my least favorite part of the job (after the evil minister). wowzers, this job just gets better and better. which is good. because, you know, two hour commute.

and now i'm being a lazy git. erk. not doing what i need to be doing. and rach isn't here so her presence can't shame me into good behavior. darnit. am a sloth. ::does whatever sloths do... i don't know, hangs from a tree?::

i even drank a sprite when i found it in the back of my parents fridge. hello? sugar rush? shouldn't i be all hyper now?
