did you all hear yesterday's big news? bush, that compassionate soul, gave a speech about how slavery was bad. he's such a radical.

it is funky, though, that he and clinton both went to ile de goree to make these speeches. i was there a few times and i just have the hardest time imagining an american president and his entourage strolling about the island.

yes, well, it appears to be time to head downtown again. ::sigh:: i can't wait, can't wait, to be in northampton every day. oh, speaking of, harrimad_sol and hominidj, there should be a working phone line by the end of the day! wheee!

hmmm. my work for today - as i have allotted it to myself - is done. i could leave. but i have plans to meet rach to commute home with her. hmm. i really don't want to start any new projects right now. i wish there were a cafe right here with warm drinks and comfy chairs. there isn't. closest thing is starbucks and i don't go there. nope. alas.

on the up side, it's raining!!! and grey and lovely and cool. ahhhh. it's like a special little presnt just for me. well... me and everyone else who can't stand the heat. and maybe this will finally get the bird poop off my car. ah yes, a girl can dream.

ok. i'm going to leave. cafe or no. lalala. i have a ms. magazine to read. i'll be good.
