there's such a lot of world to see
Jun. 28th, 2003 08:36 ami've done as much friends page perusing as my tired brain can handle. did i not post yesterday? it would appear i did not. wacky.
i was on my feet for most of yesterday and holy mother of somethingrather, they hurt like hell when i came home. and then we had to do a bunch of packing. i am unbelievably tired right now. and getting ready to leave in an hour for another (even longer) day on my feet. oy. and we're supposed to see C and J tonight and, much as i adore them, the thought makes me panic. there's so much to do, so little time. so much work. i fucked myself over with this plan... but not really bc the point was to make a lot of money and i'm doing that. right. eye on the prize, here.
today i resolve to wear good shoes and take a break if it slows down at any point.
i did get to go over to the equal exchange booth and score some free coffee. mmm. and i chatted with a fellow vegan at the UUsFortheEthicalTreatmentofAnimals booth. i still want to go over and look at the alternatives to marriage booth. but i'm steadfastly avoiding all the pretty handmade jewelry booths. spending money = bad.
meanwhile, we've sold thousands of dollars of jewelry already. wacky. chalice jewelry draws the UUs like light draws the moths.
and, i am once again determined to raise my children UU. these kids are so incredibly well-adjusted. they amaze me. and the two teenage girls who work shifts with me are no exception.
did you know there's a town in alaska called eek? that's right eek, alaska. i met someone from there yesterday. eek! lol. that must get tiresome for him. but i'm not tired yet. eek!
oh, but YAY! the heat has broken. this morning is pleasantly warm and breezy and thank... um... thank... oh jeez. i don't know. yay!
and i had funky dreams last night... including one in which i stumbled upon my high school marching band in rehearsal. they were playing moon river and so i sang along with them as i walked among them. i saw andrew the trumpet player and will the trombone player. and now moon river is stuck in my head.
