::dances around and giggles gleefully:: omg, i've had the best idea! i've been digging around in my mind, trying to figure out what nice thing i can do for someone who has done many a nice thing for me. and i thought of something!!! whee!!! but ::looks around:: ::whispers:: i can't say it here, because it's one of you!

i had such a nice time last night. my last church rehearsal til september. the rehearsal part was a little rough - they were like kids on the last day of school. but then we had a wee party in honor of the end of the year and one of the members who's moving away this summer. the cookies i made ( you know you want to see them )

were a big hit - everyone exclaimed over their deliciousness and couldn't believe they were vegan. ha!

i spent a lot of time talking to the older folks. i <3 them. it was especially interesting to talk to C who, it turns out, is walter reuther's sister. wacky. so she had good words for rach as she heads into labor studies.

generally, the evening gave me warm fuzzies. this may be the cheeziest thing i've ever said, but... those people enrich my life.

am at work and have the attention span of a gnat. a gnat with a very short attention span.

i like organizing things though. and i like that they trust me to be in charge of stuff here. doesn't mean i'm not bored. i just appreciate having resposibility. uh. yeah.

oh, and they've chosen an interim minister at my other church job. she's supposed to be great. and really nice, which would be one thing already she would have over the current minister.

i just got a paycheck for $13.85 for the 22.5 hours i worked. um. called payroll. turns out, she clicked the wrong button and put me in as salaried at $15 per pay period instead of hourly for $15/hr. yeah. oops.
