Jun. 10th, 2003 09:16 amthe old man next door is obsessed with the car-moving-for-street-cleaning process. obsessed. i think it's the first thing he ever talked to me about. perhaps the only thing. given, it's a bit complicated in this neighborhood - one side gets cleaned the 1st and 3rd monday of the month and the other side the 2nd and 4th tuesday. but he leaves his cars on the street and stands out there until the guy comes a-ticketing and then moves them at the last second. why? i think so that he can then just come right back and park in front of his houses again. this is necessary because he uses his driveways as dog kennels for his noisy, obnoxious hounds.
last night was the last, the very last rehearsal of the women's ensemble with me as their director. alxamdulilaah. we sang this one bartok song that we had been working on here and there all year long. and deaf-grandma-with-alzheimer's says 'we haven't done this one before.' ::facepalms:: it's not even funny anymore. they are nice ladies but i will not miss that job.
i was kind of out of commission yesterday. after the traumatic therapy session and all. am trying to be more with it today. though i'm starting the day by being late to work. alas. i'd better get movin'.
