who said i like right angles?
Jun. 1st, 2003 08:34 ami think i'm going to propose to the board of the church that we not have services on sleepy grey mornings. being all peppy and come-on-chorus-you-can-do-it-y right now just doesn't feel right. being in bed would. sitting here for hours with coffee, journal and my favorite pen would. but not the work. ::sigh::
i am not remotely surprised by ( these quiz results. )
dancingrain and i should throw the fandom a happy, lovey party. ;)
and the award for most androgynous date goes to.... elijah wood! i think it was a strategic move on his part to confuse the hell out of the rabid fans.
so. church has the potential to be uncomfortable today. the sermon title - "i still love you." something about loving even when things don't work out. even when you have to leave. um. yeah. appropriate for the second to last service with this minister, i suppose. i really hope she doesn't cry. we're singing 'in this very room' (barf-o-rama, something i can't stand but she requested) and 'wondrous love' (with special, ok for UU lyrics stolen out of our hymnal. i love this song, it's so beautiful and haunting). and i'm just hoping all goes smoothly with our guest organist, RW. oh hey! both of the church's gay people will be there today! RW and i, that is. ok, well there's this one lesbian couple, but RW and rach and i are the ones who always get invited to talk to the kids about gayness. RW's a bit of an oddball. i like him.
and really, it's nice to have a gay man on the organ. i mean, that's how it's supposed to be, no? i thought every organist was gay until i met ours. but his daughter is gay... maybe there's a connection there. ... now i just wrote that to be silly, but... every single organist i know besides G is, in fact gay. and i know a few. hmmm. what could the connection possibly be?
