ack. ackack! this morning disappeared into the e-mail i had to send to people at church asking for ::cough::$2,300::cough:: to cover my travel expenses next year. whew. i'm feeling bold. i'm willing to negotiate that amount... but not all that far. heh. um. ::freaks out::

throws love all over [livejournal.com profile] ivyblossom. yes, yes and also, yes.

ok. ok. i need to go now. waaah!!! this working in the morning thing is great except for the part where i don't get to sit here and read each of your every last thoughts as you record them this morning. ::sigh:: fine. fine. i'm going.

my little vegan self is constantly surprised about people eating meat. i mean, it's not really surprising... but. it's been... wow, 12ish years now that i've been vegan. and i think one retrains one's mind about understanding what out there counts as food. for me, animals don't. and rach is also vegan. and [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl, [livejournal.com profile] hominidj and [livejournal.com profile] harrimad_sol. so it's easier than it would otherwise be to maintain the illusion that lots of people think this way. an then i hear or read someone talking about the chicken they just ate and part of me takes it in stride and another part gasps in shock and horror. i think this is interesting.

i prefer rain to the kind of humidity we have here right now.

i'm getting my haircut tomorrow! yay! but i can't possibly decide what to do with my hair without input from all of you. oh no. so... i will let you know some options, and if you feel so inclined, you can tell me what you think i should do. good? good.

this ) is my hair about a year and a half ago. before the prolonged, awful growing out phase. i really loved it this short, but the growing our process made me wary of ever doing that again.

this )is a cut from 4 years or so ago - the haircut to which i aspired throughout the recent awful growing out phase. in order to get to this cut, though, i had to grow it out longer - so that i'd be able to get the shape right and all.

and so it's been growing. this )is my hair in march. it's a little longer, a little more out of control now (hence, the cut). but i'm surprised to find that i'm enjoying it long - usually i get sick out of it when it gets to this length.

so. [Poll #130837]
