i have to pee but in order to do so, i'd have to get up and walk, like, 10 feet to the bathroom. ::crosses legs::

i have the song [livejournal.com profile] harrimad_sol's sister wrote about draco in my head. hee. so fun.

i have some lofty goals for today. oh yes. like: finish my h/d thingamajiggy. talk to jenny and anney???? as much as possible. cook things. if it stays sunny, i could finish the table. oh yeah, and figure out what i'm doing at the church for the next 2 months.

::gives up and goes to pee::

oh yeah, and i was going to say. i finally finished re-reading a swiftly tilting planet last night. ... i will always love that book because of the way i loved it once. but perhaps re-reading it now wasn't such a good idea. it's a phenomenally awful book. like, so bad it hurts. deeply. i mean, her writing is awful. everything is super cheezy and unbelievable.

but even if we just take that as it is... the premise of the book is pretty terrible. i don't know why it once appealed to me. this concept that genetics predetermine everything... a person's personality and destiny. what a load of crap. how did she get away with that in the middle of happy-lovey series? it seems especially bad in light of lotr and harry potter - and even buffy - where the message is so clearly that it's what you choose, what you do that makes you who you are. and that's such a powerful thought. and here's madeleine telling kids that, sorry, if your parents - even your ancient ancestors - were bad people, you will be too.

don't know why i'm posting this here and not at [livejournal.com profile] swiftlytilting... i guess i didn't start that community to badmouth the books. and you know... i still really want to write sandy/dennys slash that takes place during this book. the twins were up all night too, after all.

damnit. i was getting so into my carpentry project. i mean, i was ready for a sudden, quarter-life career change - yes, i'm that impressed with myself. and then my drill's batteries died. ::sigh:: so now they're charging and i'm just hoping i'll still have the oomph for this project when they're done.

but hey, i can go look for [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle now.

i made the table!!! it's (almost) perfect! and i only broke one drill bit in the process. oops. :D

and the h/d is bunnied (yay [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle!) and just needs to be written.

sadly, i am nothing vaguely resembling ready for church. off to take care of that...

oh. stinky poodle. i can't write this h/d. i'm coming up with nothing but crap. crap! i tell you. ::sigh::

camilla, here's your story:

harry and draco didn't like each other.
but actually, they kind of did.
and then they had hot monkey sex
the end.

how about i build you an h/d table? i'm feeling much more adept in that realm just now.
phineasjones: (fearless)
ok, what kind of mood-altering beverage would better enable me to write h/d? coffee? or wine? what do you think?
