denn alles fleisch es ist wie gras

i always do this! i got up plenty early and now i've frittered away so much time that i have 30 minutes left in which to eat breakfast, get dressed, pack up and go. ::sigh::

last night was really good. mmm_cake and i met up with R and O at buddha's delight. yummmm. it was nice... O is such an odd one, though. he jokes all the time but his jokes always include bizarre reference that i never get. and really, i'm not that dense. but i like him. and we ran into princessrugger at the restaurant. that was v. cool. i noticed her early on but, for some reason, i was convinced it wasn't her. i kept looking at her and thinking wow, that looks sooo much like her. she has all her same mannerisms and everything. duh. it was her.

and the brahms was a lovely performance. not perfect, but exceptionally good for a non-professional group. i really wish we hadn't been sitting right behind our old orchestral conducting professor. it was impossible not to watch him for reactions - and there were plenty.

and now, hour upon hour of dress rehearsal. ugh. i hope this goes well. i want the chorus to be in high spirits about the performance tomorrow. the seem a little doubtful right now. i wish i could kick out the conductor and take over. so many conductors just.. well, he's not very clear. i'll leave it at that.

blah blah blah. i'm rambly. and eek! i have no time to ramble! or peruse anything fannish. ::pout:: i did a little icon change-out yesterday but i just called up some random old ones for the moment, until time and inspiration to make new ones coincide.

huh. i have a big ol' morning and come back to see that my friends list has barely budged. alas. i'm trying not to be intensely frustrated by the rehearsal today... much of it was actually very good. but i am in the throes of pms and can find plenty to bitch about. but. right. trying not to do that.

i'm so hungry.

meh. i haven't had to wear a white blouse in a performance for years. hence, i don't have one. and i need one for tomorrow. meh. the three options i see before me are 1. ignore what my body wants and my schedule demands and go try to find mmm_cake at the protest downtown 2. go find a white blouse 3. take a nap. what to do? the most responsible option would probably be #2, huh? damn. well. maybe i'll do that and see if there's any time left for 1 or 3. so tired. so hating the war. meh.
