post that does not relate how tired and mildy sad i am actually feeling

i am so sleepy. my brain is working in slow motion, if at all. this weekend didn't really feel very weekend-y. working both days probably did that. and a party each night.

last night was elizabeth's birthday party-gathering thing. it was really good to see her after all this time. i forget how nice it is to have silly fun with her. and i don't know what else to call what we ended up doing... me shooting 'spells' at her with my shiny new ron action figure while she fended them off wearing a bike helmet and wielding a trash can lid.

and later we dropped by claire's to give her a care package to help her survive the strike that's now heading into its fourth week. saw lauren there too, which felt too awkward. what felt less awkward and really great was curling up with camillafarfalla and explaining slash to our friend laura who already knew about fanfiction which made the whole thing pretty easy. and rachael told me later that she had to attempt to explain slash to lauren in the other room because she overheard a snippet of our conversation and asked, "are they talking about porn?" ah lauren, just go back to law school and your ridiculously productive life.

oh hey, harrimad_sol! i got you a present! i saw it and it called out to me - harrimad needs me!!! - and there was no way i could not get it for you. yes. haahaha. i can't wait to give it to you. heee.

at age 27, i'm allowed to feel a little resentful that i should have this achy soreness in the first finger of my right hand, right? because i think arthritis would suck at any age. but 27?

am mostly feeling something else though. crept up on me during this weekend full of old friends asking for life updates. aimless. scared. what do i do, now?
