phineasjonesupdating from rach's computer bc i ::hides face in shame:: spilled a glass of water on my laptop. ohgodohgod. i hope it's ok. i've done my best to dry it out. ohhhhh ::frets:: oh, i can't think about it.
so, i'll just go on with what i was going to say before that happened. which was that i have a strange aversion to fanfiction written in the first person. i'm sure there are exceptions. really well written things for which i am willing to overlook this. but... not many. if i see some random fic come down the pipes and it's in 1st person, i close it and move on. perhaps this is wrong of me. i ask myself why i am bothered by this... hmm.. maybe it's that i don't know any of the characters about whom i read fanfic through 1st person originally. and so suddenly changing perspective so drastically feels awkward and wrong. maybe that's it. not sure.
